Prompting is now closed. We have a whopping 197 prompts - which is amazing. Claiming will begin on the 20th of April - Saturday.

Claiming will be first come, first served basis. Each prompt can be claimed once for fic and once for art. On Saturday, we will make a post about claiming - a link will be provided where you can submit your claim. We ask everyone to submit two choices - just in case your first one gets taken.

When the claiming first opens, we'll (hopefully) get lots of requests so you need to be safe and make sure you have a back up. Anyone can make a claim, you did not have to participate in last year's fest to sign up. You did not have to submit a prompt to sign up.

Fic needs to be at least 1000 words. Art can be any form or medium.

After you submit your claim, please allow us 24-48 hours to confirm. (Again as a reminder, your mods are human, they have lives, and jobs (!!) so sometimes communication can be delayed but we will get back to you!)

If you don't like any of the prompts, you can sign up by creating your own prompt and pairing, as long as you keep it anonymous. All the prompts are jumping off points, so feel free to change them as you see fit for your fic or art. Minimum word count for fic is 1000 words. All stories must be beta read.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE KNOW - the fest is anonymous. That means, claiming is anonymous, don't announce to the world which prompt you claimed. (You can tell your friends you claimed a prompt). Submissions are due 15th August - and posting will begin on 1st of September. Drizzle usually gets 40+ participants so the early your submit, the early your fic/art will be posted during posting time.

Please remain anonymous until the end of the fest when the MASTERLIST is posted (aka, reveals). That's when we announce to the world who wrote what. It's super important that you respect this rule. We have had some issues last year with new members and we'd like to avoid that. Please PLEASE respect this rule.

This is fairly obvious but we really need members to sign up knowing this rule and following this rule. Do not post your story/art on tumblr or facebook or whatever until the FEST IS OVER - which is mid to late OCTOBER.
